Springhouse was founded in 2014 in the Blue Ridge mountains of Floyd County, Virginia and is one example of what can happen when this model is used to create regenerative culture.
Springhouse envisions a regenerative culture where all people are connected to the vitality within themselves, their community, and the Earth. Springhouse creates and shares a model of regenerative culture through vitality-centered education that equips people to courageously respond to the world’s emerging needs. The first part of the Springhouse mission is to create a model of regenerative culture. Springhouse is the prototype where the model was created and experimentation of the model continues to happen. The second part of our mission is to share the model. Sourced Design is the model that we share to create more prototypes of communities and cultures that center and take care of life in ways that foster vitality and respect people and place.
Springhouse offers a Day School program for adolescents, fortification programs for adults who are committed to building regenerative culture, and cultural design programs to study and practice Sourced Design. Springhouse has a main campus in Floyd County, and a location in the town of Floyd, Virginia dedicated to building regenerative culture through the arts.
